C is for Colorful! Shoes!

Okay, today is the start of another series and it focuses on color!  Instead of focusing on just one color, I thought I would spice things up a bit!  This time I am focusing on items that come in every shade of the rainbow!  Have you ever seen an item you like and wished it came in another color?  Well this week is for you!

Today, it is about shoes!  Sporty or dressy, we have you covered!

This first shoe is absolutely so darn cute and is a flat from Talbots.  I think Talbots has come a long way.  It used to be kind of mom-ish, but now they have great stylish classic staples for your closet.  These shoes come in 11 colors!  Yes, 11!  (Adriatic, Meadow Green, Rose Door, Rhododendron, Daffodil Yellow, Porcelain Blue, Picasso, Clay, Brown, Black and Dark Pewter).  In short,  they probably have a color you want!  Buy em'!!!  Here is just a few of the color options!

Want something more summery?  I think espadrilles are the perfect summer shoe!  I cannot get enough.  These espadrilles from Moda Spana (via Amazon) are hot!  They come in six summery and chic colors.  Get a few pairs!  These few are my favorites!

Looking for something more casual?  Frye sneakers offer a cute and comfy sneaker in a plethora of colors!  14 colors to be exact, too many for me to name!  I stop at 11! :)   Looking for a shade of red, orange, yellow, green, blue or purple... they probably have you covered!   Also have some great neutral options.  Buy yourself a pair at Frye.

Keds is another brand offering a rainbow of colors.  Keds immediately bring me back to middle school in that cool yet retro way!  Check out their offerings on their site!  You can design your own in any shade of the rainbow!

Color your world! :)   Any shade will do!  Next up....Watches!  Until next time....xoxo

C is for Closets!

Closets are important.  Very important!  When we were looking at houses my husband could not understand why I was so obsessed with closet space.  Three years later, I think he has a better understanding!  We live in an older house in New England which means most house have tiny closets.  One of the biggest selling factors was our walk in closet, but even that need some help!  Our guest room closets definitely need help!

This are the kind of closets a girl could only dream of!

S! Shoe of the Day....

Okay, so this "Shoe of the Day" post is actually a shoe I did not buy! Surprising, I know. This is a shoe I talked my sister into buying after my animal print post! It is super cute... animal print by Sam Edelman. It is a snake printed flat that is cute as a button. A perfect animal print choice sister... well done!

The sister was worried, what can I wear this with. Well.... a lot! An outfit that dons any brown will do. Would be super cute with jeans and any neutral colored sweater.

Of course, I am someone who likes a well color coordinated outfit- so thought I would throw together a few outfits to inspire!

Work:

Take a look dear sister- this should help get you excited about your SUPER cute shoes. If these outfits don't excite you, the fact that you got the shoes on super sale at Nordstroms rack should. They were $30 bucks right? They are $55 online at 6pm.com. Good job!

Love Thy Shoes! Until Next Time...xoxo

S! Shoe of the Day....

This post is dedicated to my Gram, a woman who would show up at every holiday (even at age 87) in a pair of heels. We would all tell her to be more practical- but she loved her heels and knew it completed her outfit. She always looked like a million bucks! I guess I know where my shoe focus came from. I love you Gram and will miss you.

As a Shoe-A-Holic. I have received a few requests to share my shoe secrets... so here they are. I love all shoes, but I love flats in particular! I even had "shoe closets" built to house my collection (which is not overflowing said closets). I get my shoes from all over... but amazon.com, endless.com, 6pm.com, and solestruck.com are my favorites. I also like zappos.com (which my husband calls zappatos.com, as in "You got another package from zappatos.com").

Yes, I buy my shoes online. I have learned that this is troubling to some. In many instances, I will find shoes I love at expensive boutiques or department stores.... I will try them on so I know what size I need and then will find them online cheaper.... I am an incredibly impressive googler. Other times... I will just find a shoe so cute online that I just cannot NOT get them and will take the risk that they might not fit. I am a pretty standard size 8, sometimes an 8.5. I like Amazon because you can read reviews and anyone who bought the shoe will usually say if it runs big or small. Most sites have free shipping and sometimes even free return shipping. As I mentioned in another post... I like sites that let you keep wish lists. I will often put things in my wish list so I can watch it and see if it goes on sale. My shoe of the day is this Pour La Victoire Florette flat. Saw them at Nordstroms for $165. I bought them at Amazon.com for $59.99. Worth every penny.... they are so cute and I get compliments every time I wear them. I have the cherry ones with the striped bow. I regret not buying these in navy too (right)....finding cute navy shoes is kind of a challenge. At the time, I was trying to shoe restraint. Why? Who knows!

Happy Shoe Shopping.... until next time...xoxo
