S... is for sale!

So, today is a Monday holiday.  I was not planning on doing an official blog post, but changed my mind!  Not only are holiday weekends great because you get an extra day to sit in your pajamas, but there are great sales in stores and online!  I thought EVERYONE knew about online sample sales at this point, but it came to my recent attention that some of my coolest friends were not "in the know".  I thought I would share an overview of my favorite online sample sale sites.  You can get some AMAZING deals.

What is an online sample sale?  It is a "sell off" of designer goods at a discount price.  Quantities are limited, so it is first come first serve.    Sales open at a particular time (i.e. 12 noon EST).  The good stuff goes quickly!  These events are "invite only" as in you have to be a member, but it is pretty easy to get an "invite".  You are invited by me if you use any of the links below! :)  There are a TON of sites now, but I am only going to share my favorites.

R...L...L.. Rue La La!

Cute coat alert from Rue La La.  Still a bit early for winter coat talk here, but I had to share this super cute coat on sale now at Rue La La!   HURRY!   It is a bargain too, originally $330 on Rue La La for $99 (black is $129).  It is so cute that even the husband commented (as he was looking over my shoulder).

The hard part is selecting what color! 

The husband said I should get white, but that seems impractical considering I will spend most of this winter probably covered in spit up.  Given I have a lot of black coats... I think the grey is calling my name!  Can you hear it?  "Buy me, you deserve me, I know you are tired of buying maternity clothes!"

C.S.C..... Cute Spring Coats!

Spring is just about here... and it is time to put away the wool coats and pull out a spring coat. There are a ton of adorable spring coats. My collegue "K" came into my office the other day to ask my opinion on two coats she was checking out on the Kenneth Cole sale on Ideeli. "K" is moving to San Francisco so needs some options for lighter weight coats. Well, long story short- she bought both coats and so did I! Now, they were a huge bargain. I LOVE Ideeli. S for Settee... how I love thee!

I have always had a thing for settees... yet I do not have one! I want one and if I were to buy one, this would be it!

Unfortunately, I don't "need" it right now and it was already sold out on Rue La La by the time I found it. It is the Safavieh "Francoise" Alder Settee. (Left) It retails for $2,000 but was on Rue La La for $1499. What a steal! Love you Rue La La!

Someday... this will be mine. When it time to redesign my living room (unfortunately years and years away), I have a dream of a rich, monochromatic/achromatic room. As much as I love color, I think a monochomatic living room is sophisticated and elegant (but without trying to hard).

My new living room might look like one of these, but with a settee of course!
