B... Brimfield. Take 1!

So, I have been MIA....again!  Well, what can I say.  I return with Brimfield news though.  Not only did I hit Brimfield last week, I hit it twice.  I was there Tuesday, opening day, in the rain.  I then returned on Saturday for the 2nd to last day for the good deals and it was perfect sunshine.

I am going to do a full debrief on all my purchases later this week, but I thought I would give you a little teaser today.  I bought this adorable school desk that I am currently hiding from the husband.  I have absolutely no need for a small kids desk as I already have a few.

It was the drawer under the chair that got me.  How freaking cute!?  I had not plans on buying this, especially given the $50 price tag.  But, when the dealer told me I could have it for $30 (without me even asking)... I could not say no.  $30... total steal.

I think I am going to paint it with white Annie Sloan chalk paint and put it in our family room as a little craft spot for the wee one or perhaps in our new (almost finished) playroom.

Wanna know what else I got?  You have to check back later this week for the other goods!   Until next time...xoxo

B... Birchbox! Mine has arrived!

So, you may remember that I wrote about Birchbox a few weeks ago.  Read more about it here!   In short, Birchbox is a beauty subscription program where you get a box of samples monthly.  I was eagerly awaiting my box to arrive and it is here!

There was no missing the box when it arrived at my door!

I tore open the box to find another box!

I was excited to reveal the contents...
five luxe samples.

You also get a card that explains what each item is!

Some of the samples are small (Deborah Lippman Nail Polish Remover), but some are full sized (Laura Geller Blush and Brighten).  The Archipelago Soap smells AMAZING!  Now, was it worth the $10... I would say yes.  But, let's break it down... shall we?

1.  Archipelago Pomegranate Soap sample (1.1 ounce).  Full size (10.8 ounces) is for sale at Amazon for $10.65.  Value of of Birchbox sample = $1.08

2.  Kate Spade Twirl sample (.05 fl oz).  Full size (1.7 fl oz) sells for $57.20 at Amazon.  Value of Birchbox sample = $1.68

3.  Laura Geller Baked Blush N' Brighten (.32 oz).  It is a full sized product and sells for $31!  Cha Ching.... Birchbox was worth it!

4.  Sircuit Cosmeceuticals Molecular Mist sample (8 ml).  Full sized product is $36 for 2 oz or 60ml.  Birchbox sample = $4.80

5.  Deborah Lippman Stripper to Go Nail Polish Remover sample (1 mitt).  Full sized product is $12 for 10 mitts.  Birchbox sample = $1.20

So.... I got $39.76 of product for $10.  How is that for a bargain!!!  Sister-in-law, you asked and I can say it was worth it... for this month at least!  I cannot wait for my July Birchbox.  Until next time...xoxo

C.C.... Cocktail Cardigan...

So, I don't know what makes a cardigan a cocktail cardigan, but it does sound festive yes?  Well, Old Navy has some super cute cardi's right now including this baby to the left.  My friend SH and I each picked ourselves up one... well actually a couple at Old Navy for $20!  Bargain!

I got a navy and black one.  I have to buttton only a few buttons to fit my now quite big baby bump, but it works!  SH and I were so excited about our sweaters that we wore them on the same day!  Don't we look cute in our matching cocktail cardigans.  Only question is... where is the cocktail?

Our office lighting is just not that great.  We both are much cuter in person! But, don't we look darling in our matching cardigans?  This photo is making me rush out to buy some blush right now!!! :)

Well, get yourselves to Old Navy soon.... I am sure these cardigans will not last!  Until next time...xoxo

S... S....S.... Sale!

I love a good sale. I mean... really really really love a good sale. One of my biggest fashion secrets is that I often buy at end of season as that is when you get the best stuff... cheap! Although it is not quite the end of the season yet... there are some great sales going on right now!

I just happened to cruise the Macy's website the other day and found some great items. They are all on sale right now! The best thing about buying online at a department store is that they usually have better variety than the store and it is easier to find what you are looking for. And... if it does not work out, you can return to the store. Easy!

Go peruse the Macy's sale section yourself! Until next time... xoxo
