A is for Accessory... cute home accessory!

I love the start of each month.  Why?  Because that is when all my magazines come.  Yesterday I got September's House Beautiful.  Love it!    I stumbled across a cute home accessory on page 41 that I had to share.  Related to my post yesterday it involves a trellis pattern.

Do you love these vases?  They come in all sizes and colors.  Get one or two or three to match any decor.  I could see the pink one on my dining room table or the green one on my kitchen counter.  So many options!

Thanks House Beautiful for sharing.  Where can you find them... on Etsy of course.  Check out Jill Rosenwald's gorgeous stuff!

Okay- last trellis post of the week! :)  Until next time...xoxo

Everyone has to have a good water bottle.  Reduce, reuse, recyle! :)  I spotted these cute BPA free bottles advertised on Daily Candy.  They are made by Life Factory and come in a rainbow of colors and are super cute.  They are on sale for $21.99, but Daily Candy is offering a promo code for 25% off.  Just enter code ILOVEGLASS at checkout.

I stumbled across these cute garden gnomes via At West End!  I think they are pretty cute.  I don't know why, but I have always wanted a garden gnome!  These come in a variety of colors to suit your tastes!    Choose from ivy, cotton, paprika, sky or mossy green!

Who does not need a cute serving tray?  These sustainable bamboo 16 inch trays are simple and chic and come in an assortment of colors!  Sold at Branch, a site that focuses on sustainable housewares, they are only $24.  You can have your choice of the following colors: Kiwi Cayenne, Sunflower, Spice and Hazelnut!

The Company Store is one my favorite sites for bedding.  They make great stuff at an affordable price and in a boatload of colors!  Most of my duvet colors are from here because I like to switch things up fairly often!  Looking for duvet cover, sheets, bedskirts or whatever...The Company Store has you covered!  They switch up their color choices by season and always have pastels, brights, earth tones and more!

My friend "S" shared these cute and colorful plant stands with me! How cute are these?  She found them on Making it Lovely!  You can buy them at Sprout Home and clearly they have any color and size you want for your house or porch or yard!

Oh what a colorful home!  Have a great weekend!  Until next time...xoxo

H is for have and heard?

Have you heard of "At West End"? So I was just sorting through my GIANT pile of magazines.  I love magazines and if I don't keep up with it, I find after a few months that I have piles everywhere!  In the stack I was sorting through, I found an "At West End" catalog.  I had never heard of this place, but they have really really cute stuff!

Their tag line is "A unique place for rustic and recycled home decor."  It is exactly that!  There a bunch of items that I want for my house and garden!

Here are some of my favorites!

See, I told you that had really cute stuff!  Check out At West End for yourself!  Until next time....xoxo

B.C.- Book Covers!

Okay, I posted a few weeks ago about shelves. Well, I am still struggling with my massive bookshelf trying to find a way to make it functional yet attractive. The husband recently added some molding and shelf reinforcements, so it is a bit sturdier. Additionally, he added some under shelf lighting... which adds a nice ambiance!

So, one of the first steps I have taken to beautiful my shelves is to cover all my books. I wanted to give them a uniform look and for them to "match" the room. I have told a few folks about covering my books and they laugh. Apparently this is the height of OCD. But hey, you are what you are ... right!?

So, I am not going to unveil my shelves today. In truth, there is nothing to unveil yet. But, I will show you some of my book cover inspiration!

Check it out!

These ones below you can buy! Check out Book Jackets City!

You can keep it "old school" with paper grocery bags or use fancy new decorative paper. You could even use cloth! I used wrapping paper for mine from one of my favorite places, Paper Source.

So like I said, I am waiting to show you the whole "Sha Bang" when the shelves are done. But, in the meantime, I will give you a small taste! Ready...

This is the rug in the room!
Which is of course, is the color inspiration for the shelves and everything else!!!

I bought solid wrapping paper in the yellow color and here are a few of my books! :)

Want more? You will have to wait. It is a work in progress! Creating a masterpiece needs time, especially when you are type A! :)

Until next time.....xoxo

S...... Shelves! Make it pretty!

So, I have a design dilemma. My husband built me this huge bookcase in our living room. Did I mention it is big? HUGE! It is both tall and wide. I have yet to figure out how to accessorize it appropriately.

Now, let me say that the husband works in finance not woodworking.... so although beautiful, there are a few issues. The main one being that the shelves are very wide with no support in the middle, so if you put anything too too heavy on them then kind of sink in the middle. So, I need to be purposeful and conscience of this when I accessorize this massive shelving structure.

I am lost on where to begin with the bookshelf. It is now filled with random stuff .... wine, books, photos, etc. I need a strategy. Here are some lovely shelves that I am looking to for inspiration. When I have solved my issue I will share with you. For now, I am in planning phase.

What to do? What to do?

Maybe this?

Or.... this?
Oooh....
Ahhhh....
This might be my favorite.
Love letters.... :)
Old books... love it!
I actually have something like this going in my family room. Simple. Classic.

There is much work to do to get my shelves looking half this good. Stay tuned!

Until next time...xoxo

S.T.: Shopping Tip.... Wisteria!

I am a slave to decorating my house. I cannot help myself. Even after two years- I still feel like most rooms are a work in progress just waiting for that perfect "it" item. I search many sites, stores, and flea markets constantly on the "look out"! One of my favorite places to shop is Wisteria. They have such cute and unique things! I heard about Wisteria when the Obama's were moving into the White House. The decorator that did their living quarters was boasting that so many of the things in the space were affordable and mentioned Wisteria. I quickly hit the web and was amazed. Now, Wisteria does also have what I would call expensive items, but there is also a ton of affordable stuff and they have good sales! If it is good enough for the Obama's .... it is good enough for me!

Check it out for yourself. Here are some of my favorite items!

I have been obsessing over this mirror. It might be the cutest thing I have ever seen!
I think these are cute to give as gift of display on a bookshelf or a bar!

They have the fork, knife and spoon. I saw these in decorating magazine and loved them!

Adorable in an office space or by a front door to hold mail!

Great for a bookself or nightstand.... love how they look perfectly worn!

Check Wisteria out for yourself! Until Next Time...xoxo
